Okay, so I know for a fact that I'm waaaayy behind on this trend considering Roshes have been out for a while at this point but I wasn't going to miss out on an opportunity to rave about my new sneakers.  To be completely honest, I've never really been a fan of sneakers; this may only be the third pair of sneakers that I own but with every fashion blogger sporting the shoe, how could I resist? Nike's Roshe Runs are probably best known for its comfort and wide variety in terms in colors and prints.

I personally feel that the most admirable quality about the sneakers is its ability to quickly tone down any outfit. They can be paired with just about anything but, in my opinion, the cutest looks by far are the ones with paired with dresses and skirts. As I've stated before (and as most of you may know), I'm a bit of a minimalist when it comes to my personal style so it should come as no surprise that I snagged the basic black pair and as expected, I'm obsessed.

Feel free to let me know how you style your Roshes!

Yesterday on my day off, I met up with my BFF over at Fashion Royalty for some quality time featuring some shopping and a lot of eating. We really just wanted to head to H&M to look for some hats but of course that wasn't the only thing I bought because I have no idea how to exhibit self control. I've been really disappointed with H&M recently so I was praying to every single fashion god that the selection would be up to par this time.... and it was. They've started rolling in their fall collection (SO bittersweet because that just means our beloved summer is coming to an end) and anyone who knows me knows that fall is the season I favor the most. I've already started my folder of things I need want for the fall so it was no surprise that I left the store with THE cutest cropped knit yellow sweater with a stand up collar and wide sleeves ($49.95).

You can't tell me that this isn't the most perfect sweater you have ever laid your eyes on. The color itself is unrivaled. To style this, I'd probably throw on a pair of black high waist trousers and a chunky pair of ankle boots in a textured leather just to give the outfit some more definition. To the right is a gray wool hat with a black leather strap, also from H&M ($17.95). The material makes it a fall/winter hat by default and because the colors are so neutral, it can basically be worn with anything. Bless. I'm most excited about pairing this hat with a long winter coat.

Alright, so in my last post, I told you all that I was coming for those leopard print slip ons from Steve Madden. I went in and tried them on and naturally fell in love but I had also been eyeing these espadrilles since they're the closest thing I'm getting to a pair a Chanel ones. Both shoes are $79.95 and after a short deliberation I went with the CECILE espadrilles because I already own a ton a cheetah print shoes and could afford to wait out on the ECCENTRIC for a bit. To the right is a burgundy wallet from Aldo ($30). I had been on a desperate hunt for a wallet for quite some time now because the one I had been carrying around was holding on by a thread and getting judged by all of my friends. It's a flat wallet with a zipper that features 12 card slots, two change pockets, and a slot for your loose bills. It also comes in black and taupe.

That's all for this haul. I hope you guys enjoyed it!

Alright, so here's what's gonna go down every Tuesday here at TML. I'm going to showcase to you all two items-- one that's a bit on the pricey side and a cheaper version of that item and based on my research or personal experience, I'll reveal whether it's worth the splurge or not. Sound good?

For my first edition of Talk is Cheap, let's talk about the Leopard Slip-On Sneakers that are all the rave right now. From Forever 21 to Saint Laurent, everyone is creating their own version of the shoe. I narrowed it down to three brands based on prices I would be willing to pay: Forever 21, Steve Madden, Sam Edelman. Now, I'm super particular about how the leopard print looks so right off the bat I eliminated the Sam Edelman version. I personally feel that the sole of the shoe is entirely too high and the leopard print itself isn't dispersed enough. Am I being too picky?

Forever 21 offers a beautiful pair of pony hair leopard print slip ons for a perfect price of $24.80. Steve Madden's ECCENTRIC has a higher price point of $79.95 for the shoe in the same material. So which one would I go with? Steve Madden. I know some of you are probably rolling your eyes right now but let's be real and honest for a second. Name one time Forever 21 as a whole hasn't disappointed you? It could've been in terms of how they messed up the perfect shirt by using a gross fabric or having a necklace break on you 4 days after you got it (I may or may not be speaking from personal experience). While Forever's price point is a definitely music to anyone's ears, I'd much rather have my money go to a pair of shoes I know will last. ECCENTRIC, I'm coming for you.

There's a long standing argument on whether or not wearing white to a wedding is appropriate and you'll find that most people suggest steering clear of white to avoid clashing with the bride and the countless glares from guests judging you for your outfit choice. If anyone had asked me today if they should wear white to a wedding I'd probably reply no without hesitation but weddings are evolving and straying away from tradition and normality.

With that being said, I think it all comes down to how classic the bride and groom are. If you know for a fact that you're dealing with a very unorthodox couple, please, wear all the white you'd like. I personally still believe that it's mildly inappropriate for guests to show up in white because society has ingrained in us that it's not an acceptable option. I put together a look below on what I believe is an allowable amount of white. So tell me, is white a forbidden color at weddings for guests?

It actually pains me to admit how obsessed I've been with Kim Kardashian's style lately. I mean, we all know we have Kanye to thank for Kim's sudden updated look (and for Anna's sudden love for Kim, too) but regardless, she has been killing it lately. After her tragic outfits during her pregnancy with the ever-so-precious North West (never 4get her floral couch look during the Met Gala), I think she realized she needed to redeem herself. Kim has finally found the recipe for flaunting her assets in a tasteful and chic way. She's cooked up a damn good selection of outfits and I can't help but applaud her for it. Her looks have become less predictable and more daring. I've found myself doing "Looks for Less" and using Kim as one of my inspirations. Shocker. I thank her for my denim-on-denim look I've been rocking religiously for the past couple of weeks. So Kim, this is my ode to you. Please don't make me regret it.

I recently got a new job and have to adhere to a dress code of all black. Now, don't get me wrong- I love to wear black just as much as the next fashionista but I feel like it's taken a toll on my wardrobe creativity because I actually think I've exhausted all of my black-on-black options. (sad face) Everyone who knows me knows that there is a definite lack of color in my closet but is it bad that with my everyday uniform of black all I want to see is color?
